2020 Ford Explorer Parts Coming To Steeda
2020 Ford Explorer Specs & Details
Although at first glance the all-new Explorer looks similar to the outgoing 2019 model, if you look a bit closer, the 2020 Ford Explorer is built on an entirely new platform. That goes for the new rear-drive layout which truly makes the driving experience more pleasurable. With the outgoing Explorer Sport being replaced by the Explorer ST, it comes with a more powerful engine, upgraded suspension, and larger brakes.
The 2020 Explorer comes with a slew of different engine options as well.
- The XLT comes with the standard 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower. Similar to the Mustang EcoBoost, this kind of output for the Explorer is definitely respectable and will net 27 miles per gallon on the highway.
- If you prefer to drive a bit more spiritedly and have some fun behind the wheel, then the Explorer ST is the perfect choice. With a 400 horsepower 3.0L EcoBoost V6 under the hood, you can expect a 5.3 sec 0-60 mph!
- And new for 2020, you can now get an Explorer Hybrid with a 3.3L naturally aspirated V6 combined with an electric motor for a combined 25 miles per gallon average with all-wheel drive!
There’s one thing for certain on the new 2020 Ford Explorer: regardless of your background or what you’ll be using your Explorer for, there’s a combination that will work for you. Whether it’s a Hybrid, ST or XLT, you’ll be set!
