2015-2022 Mustang Engine
One factor besides its iconic looks and design has remained constant throughout Mustang history: its incredible engine. Thanks to the success of Carroll Shelby and Lee Iacocca, they were able to ensure that engine performance met the styling. Every generation of Mustang has brought new engine technology to the forefront of the automotive and racing industry. This same mindset was instilled into the S550 Mustang when it debuted to the world in 2015. Building upon the first-generation 5.0L Coyote V8, Gen II & III Coyote pushed the Fords revolutionary V8 engine boundaries. Unlike past eight-cylinder powered Mustangs of the yesteryear, the S550 Coyote has racing engine technology built right into the platform.
Using lessons learned from the Boss 302 "Roadrunner,"; Gen II Coyote uses a forged rotating assembly, pistons, and connecting rods while maintaining the same compression ratio of 11:1. It helped the 2015-2022 owners have more security of adding parts such as a supercharger, turbocharger, and bolt-on performance parts to push the boundaries than OEM. Furthermore, the Gen III set a new precedent in teh ability to combine direct and port fuel injection to aid the Coyote in creating even more horsepower. These unique attributes debuted in 2018, aided enthusiasts to have greater peace of mind while quickly add parts such as a cold air intake, lighter crank balancer, and upgraded intake manifold. All of which Steeda is proud to offer to you, the enthusiast. No matter if you want a little or a lot of horsepower and torque to your pony, we have you covered.
