The intercooler features 214% greater volume than stock and offset fins on the hot and cold side for even greater cooling capacity. There is a 259% increase in external fin surface increase and a reduction in restriction over the stock intercooler.
Unleash your Explorer ST. Designed for 91 octane fuel or higher, this tune maximizes the performance of your SUV. The calibration provides +120ft-lbs of torque to give you more power and to get you off the line quicker. The +60hp increase also helps your Explorer ST feel livelier and sportier when you drive.
More fun to drive. Whipple didn't stop with a bump in power. The team at Whipple also adjusted the shift points of your Ford so that you can utilize the increased torque and have a more exciting drive. Improved pedal mapping changes the way that your Explorer ST responds when you get on the gas. The speed limit of the SUV is increased, auto start/stop is removed, and the RPM range is increased with the tune.
