Daytona Beach, FL – Steeda Performance Vehicles is proud to announce that its
naturally aspirated Steeda Q500 Enforcer Mustang achieved a top speed of 176.7 mph this past weekend at
the legendary Daytona International Speedway road course. Behind the wheel was Glen Vitale, who piloted
the Q500 to this benchmark speed thanks to Steeda’s proprietary engineering advancements.
The Q500 was equipped with a Steeda Cold Air Intake and Steeda/Palm Beach Dyno custom tune, delivering
520 horsepower, along with Steeda’s G-Trac suspension system featuring our revolutionary new coilover
system. Supporting upgrades included Toyo Proxes R 18" DOT slicks, 18x11 Apex wheels, and a
Steeda/Brembo brake upgrade kit allowing for the 18” wheel and tire fitment and reduced weight— all
working together to create a balanced, track-focused performance package.
The key to this achievement was Steeda’s G-Trac suspension system, which provided razor-sharp handling
and stability through Daytona’s challenging high speed “bus stop” section. The enhanced grip from the
Toyo R-compound tires and 18x11 Apex wheels allowed greater cornering speed, while the advanced coilover
system kept the chassis composed. Carrying more speed into the banked straightaway enabled the Q500 to
fully unleash the intake, tune, and 520 hp — pushing the car to its 176.7 mph top speed.
Driver Glen Vitale shared his experience:
