They start with raw 304 stainless steel sheets that are laser cut and CNC bent for a precise fit, and the top layer is powder coated black to blend in seamlessly with your engine bay's other components. The bottom layer is left with a 2B finish that is seen through the cut out WHIPPLE text on the top layer, meaning you can customize the bottom plate to have the text in any color or finish you like. Fathouse offers the bottom backing plate layer with a carbon fiber finish, American flag, or almost every factory S550 color available for a perfect paint match. The two layers are bolted together with the included stainless steel hardware, and the whole piece attaches to your car using factory hardware.
