EBC Mustang EcoBoost PP GD Sport Rear Rotors (2015-2023)

Stock rear rotors on the Mustang EcoBoost Performance Package are adequate for spirited driving, but repeated hard stops push pad temperatures past the point where fade becomes a real concern. EBC's GD7696 GD Sport Rotors address that directly with wide-aperture slots and dimple drilling that pull heat away from the pad contact zone before temperatures climb out of control.

Dimple drilling without the cracking risk. EBC pioneered the dimple-drilled rotor in the 1990s as a smarter alternative to through-drilled holes. Through drilling creates stress risers in the rotor face that can lead to cracks under repeated thermal cycling. Dimples provide the same pad degassing benefit, venting gas buildup that causes fade, without compromising rotor integrity.

Wide-aperture slots do more than look aggressive. The slot geometry actively draws cool air under the pad-to-rotor interface, where contact temperatures can exceed 1,000 degrees during heavy braking. That same airflow sweeps out dirt, dust, mud, and water, keeping the braking surface clean and maintaining consistent bite across varying conditions.
