Borla's stainless resonator fits 2018+ manual or automatic transmission equipped 5.0L Mustangs with or without Active exhaust. This dual inlet/outlet resonator is designed from lightweight, aircraft-grade T-304 stainless steel for a lifetime of service. Borla's proprietary design resonator is intended to replace the resonator delete pipes on Borla cat-backs and is not compatible with OE or other aftermarkets exhausts. The main purpose of this component is to reduce drone and volume if your current Borla cat-back is too aggressive for your liking.

Product Benefits:
  • Reduced volume
  • Reduce drone
  • 3" diameter stainless steel tube
  • 304 stainless steel construction
  • Made in the U.S.A.
  • Compatible only with Borla systems

CA Residents: Cancer and Reproductive Harm WARNING

Hey guys, it's Chris from Steeda. And today, we're going to show you a quick sound clip video of the Borla ATAK Cat-back for the 2018 Mustang GT with Active Exhaust. Now, I had a situation with autocross where my car was actually a little too loud. I got kicked out of autocross, actually a couple different regions. I have the Borla ATAK Cat-back on my 2018 GT, and even with the Active Exhaust and it being on "Quiet," it still was over 100 decibels at 50 feet, which was a no-go for SCCA Autocross. So, I wanted to keep the cat-back, so that's when I picked up this resonator to cut down on the overall volume of the ATAK Cat-back. It retains the tone, but just drops down the overall volume, which is great. So, it's pretty basic. You have a 2.5 inch in, 3 inch out for 2018 cat-backs with the Borla exhaust systems. The resonator right in the middle. It's a little bit lighter than stock – not too much lighter. It does have some heft to it still. But, at the end of the day, this resonator will do the trick at lowering the volume but allowing you to keep the rest of the cat-back and not having to switch out the entire exhaust system. A quick note - this is not how it would come out of the box for you if you decided to buy it new. I did have this unit installed on my car for a period of time, and we've shot this video after I took it off the car. So, expect if you open the box, it's going to be fresh 304 stainless steel, but again it's just a testament to Borla's high quality and how it handled the test of time and all that heat going through it. So, without further ado, we'll show you the sound clips - both with and without the resonator on a 2018 GT equipped with the Borla ATAK Cat-back.
