Once again you asked for it and Steeda has delivered! The team at Steeda was asked to come up with a Jacking Rail system for 2015+ Mustang Convertibles. Made in-house from the same material we have used to keep Fox Mustangs from flexing for 25+ years, these Jacking Rails feature CAD-designed, laser cut, high-strength steel brackets, and stout 2" x 1" steel tubing. Also included are lightweight billet aluminum spacers for the rear attachment points. This allows you to maintain the factory rear convertible bracing!
Powdercoated wrinkle black for a low key, yet durable finish, these will last a lifetime under your Convertible Mustang.

Unlike the competition, Steeda includes Zinc-plated, flange-headed, grade 10.9 hardware - a simple bolt-in design that can be removed at any time as they use factory mounting holes. These allow you to jack up your ragtop pony car with confidence anywhere along the jacking rail, preventing damage to your factory pinch welds. Hi everybody Brian from Steeda, highlighting our Jacking Rails for the S550 Mustang Convertible models.     The Steeda Full-Length Jacking Rails for your convertible make it much more convenient when you want to work on the car. Whether it's to raise it, to do maintenance or simply install more modifications. These are definitely the right way to go. Specifically designed for S550 Convertible or Rag Tops, Drop Tops whatever it is that you want to call it. Ultimately the idea here is to give you a nice wide area to put jack stands under. When raising the car and lowering the car obviously all safety rules apply please be careful but the reality is instead of trying to find those really tiny points at each end of the the pinch welds along the rocker panel, this gives you a much wider surface area. So it makes it easier to locate as well as set jack stands under. If you want to raise just the front of the vehicle or just the back one side or the whole thing for storage or again to work on it or to do maintenance you guys are getting the idea. You've got a lot of surface area to work with.   For those times when the part that you're looking to install or the maintenance level is a little beyond what you're comfortable with doing at home the shop is going to be really happy to see that you've installed the Jacking Rails as well. Reason being is because these are out toward the pinch welds, when you go to put the car on a lift the arms don't have to extend as far underneath the car. This means less likelihood that those arms will catch your nice rocker panels especially if you've done some aftermarket body work to the car. It allows them to run the legs shorter and raise the pads to the point where they're right up under the Jacking Rails. This makes it easier for them to locate easier for them to raise the car and ultimately more reliable in the sense that they're not likely to scratch the car. So again mechanics and shops love it when you've got a set of Jacking Rails, again convenient for you convenient for them. Now we've powder coated these in black for a durable finish but we do recommend that whether you go to the shop or do this yourselves that use a jack or lift that has pads on the ends. Likewise when you go to put it on jack stands make sure those jack stands have rubber pads on them, to protect the powder coat.   These are a great addition for those of you that love running around topless. The reason being is Ford spent a lot of time developing the rear bracing on these cars and this is important because it helps keep the chassis stiffer, so you don't lose that Mustang feel despite the fact that you've lost having a hard roof. These will work in conjunction with those factory braces. In fact we designed the spacer so that they work from 15 all the way through the S550 range whether it's an Ecoboost a V6 or a GT Convertible.   As noted a moment ago, installation is really straightforward. Steeda Mustang Convertible Low profile Jacking Rails
The Steeda Jacking rails worked great on my 2021 Ford Mustang Convertible. The jacking rails were easy to install and work great. I can't imagine trying to jack up this car without these jacking rails. The jacking rails just make it so much easier and safer to work on the car. This is my first time dealing with Steeda and everything went great.

Better than advertised
I looked at these and other like them for 18 months before buying the Steeda brand for my ‘18 eco convertible. Received them pretty quick and installed them on the weekend. I did NOT raise the car to install. I used my electric ratchet and followed the instructions. Installed on my driveway which is pretty flat and it all lined up. I’m happy knowing my pinch welds are safe from a lucite with a jack trying to help. Cheap insurance and the best solution for putting your car on jack stands!

Installed this as a preventive measure. I had read about enough folks having issues with jacking causing damage that I knew to get this. Nice pieces, 30 minutes to install (including collecting tools and jacking).

Work as described, but can easily be improved
- Overall Rails are good quality, supplied bolts are OK.- American made. Please keep making them here!- Instructions need improvement: - Specify application of blue removable Loctite to bolts. - Specify tightening bolts to 45 ft/lbs. - To tools required, add: - Blue REMOVABLE loctite. (OEM bolts have that applied). - Torque Wrench. Bolts need to be tightened to 45 ft/lbs. - You can re-use the 2 FRONT bolts on each side. They are longer and in fact, higher quality (cadmium plated) than the the 2 supplied (zinc chromate). - If you have a Ford Scissors Jack, you cannot use it on the pinch weld in the front. These Jacking Rails fit too close to the seam where the pinch welds are. That space between the Jacking Rail and pinch weld needs to be approximately .200 larger.- I would and have recommended.

Jacking rails
Product arrived on time and in good condition. The rails were easy to install and fit perfectly. Just put all four bolts and the spacer in place loosely and the torque them up.

Easy installation, driver's side took about 10 minutes with the car on the ground. The passenger side didn't line up right but this seems to be because I was not on level ground. I moved to somewhere level, pulled it down and then everything lined up!

Just installed on 2/04/2017; took maybe 30 minutes using just a 15mm ratchet (it is in the 20s and my workshop/garage is unheated so kept warming hands ;-). I drove up on 2-2.5 blocks to raise the side just a bit and it was easy to reach the bolts while sitting on the floor. The ground clearance is actually higher than the large exhaust resonator Ford has on the underside -- jacking rails sit just below the pinch weld seam (1/4). The convertible version included aluminum spacers that fit perfectly so no need to enlarge holes for the rear bolts on my convertible. RECOMMENDED!
