Description

Designed and manufactured exclusively by Steeda in the USA to the highest possible standards, Steeda Front Sway Bars withstand the rigors of high performance racing while providing the performance and handling benefits you want without degrading ride quality for street use.

Steeda's 1 3/8 inch diameter front sway bar is a direct bolt on for your S197 Mustang. This bar features 3 adjustment positions for fine tuning of handling balance. This sway bar provides a 10% to 85% increase in roll stiffness depending on the size of your O.E. front sway bar. Steeda's sway bar features our unique and patented welded billet ends instead stamping the ends like competitive designs.

Most sway bars available today are made from a solid round bar whose ends are smashed flat and drilled for mounting holes. Our welded end connection is far stronger than stamping the end of the bar. Combined with billet machined construction for the sway bar ends makes for far greater strength for a practically bulletproof sway bar.

Check out our Mustang sway bar combo kit which includes a front and rear sway bar combo for the ultimate handling upgrade!

Our sway bars have machined steel billet sway bar ends, whereas others on the market have coined ends. What does this mean? Our sway bar ends are machined out of billet steel round stock, in-house, on our multi-axis CNC lathes and go through hundreds of computer simulations to ensure the ultimate in strength and performance - this provides greater resistance to bending stresses, and has three major advantages:
  1. These parts are less prone to cracking/fatigue failure on the ends themselves.
  2. It also reduces unwanted deflection in the sway bar end. Excess deflection creates unwanted geometry changes, which physically changes your sway bar stiffness to a non-ideal rate.
  3. With less unwanted deflection, our bars will 'wear out' slower - any spring will eventually become softer over time as it is cycled through its life, our bars will maintain their designed rate for longer with less unwanted deflection.

Our bar rates are developed and optimized through advanced vehicle dynamic simulation and through extensive real-world testing. We engineered these bars to control the vehicles' roll stiffness properly while still allowing you to run softer springs. This optimizes your overall grip and balance of the vehicle while still allowing you to maintain exceptional ride quality.

Note: This Steeda Front Sway Bar will not fit a 2010 Mustang GT with ProCharger installed. V6 models come with a 28mm front sway bar for an 85% increase in roll stiffness. V8 GT and GT500 models are equipped with a 34mm front sway bar for a 10% increase in roll stiffness.

Hey guys, it's Chris from Steeda, and today we're going to stop body roll on your 2005 to 14 Mustang with a set of Steeda front and rear sway bars. So, what we're going to do is do a product review and then after that an installation video and most importantly a before and after of this 260 000 mile mustang on bone stock suspension and then what it looks like at 240 frames per second with steeda suspension so without further ado let's dive in if you enter 2005 the 2014 s197 mustang and you're looking to reduce body roll everything on this table is what you need to help achieve that goal there's a lot to unpack here but we'll go ahead and start with the front sway bar it's an inch and 3 8 in diameter offers three adjustment points and it's 10 to 85 percent stiffer depending on which adjustment point you pick in comparison to a factory 2011 gt and in this instance on a 2005 dt it'll be even stiffer perhaps my favorite benefit on the steeda front sway bars are the billet ends in comparison to a factory bar where you have those pressed ends it causes a weak point in the bar we've eliminated that all together by including these billet ends and additionally you have those three adjustment points to help dial in that body roll now with the steeda front sway bar on the s197 mustang you can reuse your factory end links that's no problem at all but for this particular instance we actually included our race front end links these are adjustable and allow you to really dial in the upwards or downwards position of the front sway bar depending on whether you've lowered the vehicle or not now moving on the rear bar this is going to complete the setup for this o5 gt so diving in we have these billet rear end links and on top of that the mounts as well to keep everything in place now if you have a 2011 mustang with a 7 8 inch rear bar this is 150 percent stiffer than that bar however if you have the one inch rear bar this is 75 percent stiffer regardless you'd be able to completely dial in the front and rear with this package on your s197 mustang all the necessary hardware is included for installation in addition that you have grease packets as well but speaking of installation let's get started.Hey guys, it's Chris from Steeda, and today we're going to stop body roll on your 2005 to 14 Mustang with a set of Steeda front and rear sway bars. steering response is quick and defined
Just finished installing the front sway bar. Quick review of my initial thoughts (It's still raining so I couldn't get on gas pedal). I removed my ford racing front sway (34mm) and installed my Steeda sway bar and used the middle hole. Steeda quality and provided accessories were as expected and exceptional. Install was problem free. I took the car out for a quick drive, wow!! What a difference, steering response is quick and defined, not sluggish or delayed. I didn't realize my steering cons until after the install, i look forward to drier outdoor conditions :-) Regret not getting these sooner but ignorance is bliss :-)
