Steeda Autosports, the world's largest aftermarket manufacturer of Ford performance equipment is once again leading the performance market with our High-Velocity Steeda ProFlow Mustang Cold Air Intake for 2015+ S550 Ford EcoBoost Mustang.
This Steeda ProFlow Mustang Cold Air Intake for 2015+ EcoBoost Mustang opens up the intake system of Ford's new turbocharged 2.3L L4 power plant and allows it to breathe much more freely than the stock intake system allows - taking your 2015+ EcoBoost Mustang to the next level of performance.
Our engineers started with a large surface area high-flow nano-fiber air filter, added our famous 'race-tested' velocity stack entry, and then designed a black rotary-molded heat shield with a durable rubber gasket to seal the shield against the vehicle's hood.
You would think this is more than enough, but we went the extra mile and designed this intake system with a complete replacement intake tube from the CAI box to the turbo!
This Steeda ProFlow Mustang Cold Air Intake for S550 2015+ EcoBoost Mustang is so effective at improving airflow to the engine that simply bolting it on will increase your horsepower and torque. A performance tune can be added for maximum performance! In an effort to maximize performance and provide our customers with only the very best products we have partnered with the leader in automotive tuning - SCT Performance.
You have the option to run this bolt-on CAI with or without a tune. Please reference our dyno sheet included in the images above:
- Baseline run (non-PP): 256.51 rwhp and 288.27 ft/lbs tq
- CAI installed (factory tune): 283.21 rwhp and 298.03 ft/lbs tq
- CAI installed with Steeda tune: 304.28 rwhp and 366.26 ft/lbs tq
With no tune, we saw a gain of 26.7 rwhp and 9.76 ft/lbs tq!

Today we have a 2016 EcoBoost Mustang with nearly a hundred thousand miles on it. The owner wanted to install a Steeda Pro-Flow intake as well as our Steeda certified Tunes so naturally I'm going to show you a product review and then a step-by-step installation, check it out.
Here we have the Steeda Proflow cold air intake fitting your 2015 plus 2.3 liter EcoBoost Mustang if you're looking to take your performance to the next level on your EcoBoost Mustang this is the way to go. We have our Pro flow cold air intake engineered and manufactured right here at our Valdosta, Georgia location, made in the USA. And of course our Steeda certified tune courtesy of the SCT X4 sitting next to me. The intake itself is carb approved without the tune but of course if you want to get the most out of adding a cold air intake to your EcoBoost Mustang adding a Steeda certified tune is the way to go. The intake itself comes with everything you need for an easy installation, really isn't too bad on these EcoBoost Motors since there's plenty of space under the hood. You have the intake tube, all the necessary clamps and hardware, the velocity stack which we've developed right here at Steeda, and of course the Pro Flow air filter in that beautiful Steeda blue. You tie that in with the SCT X4 tuner and our Steeda certified tune and you're going to see maximum gains.
Installation really wasn't too bad on the intake itself, factoring in the SCT X4 and the BDX tuner make sure you get your Steeda certified tune, fill out the tune form on our website, check it out in the link down in the description. Once you fill out the tune form our team will be able to take all that info in and get you a specific tune for your application. Aside from that let's talk about numbers. bBck when we were developing the intake specifically for the EcoBoost powered Mustang we saw from an intake alone 26 horsepower increase and 9 lb/ft of torque, you factor in the Steeda certified tune to take full benefit of the new intake on your Mustang and you can see an increase of 47 horsepower and 77 pound-feet of torque. Very impressive gains for your 2.3 liter Mustang. Comment below and let us know what other EcoBoost Mustang videos you want to see right here on the Steeda YouTube channel.
