Great drive shaft for the money
I put this drive shaft on my 2011 Mustang GT that is used primarily for track days. The clunkiness of the stock two piece shaft is gone and it spins up quicker. What else can you ask for in a drive shaft at this price?

Steeda one piece drive shaft
I matches up perfect with my 6r80 trans and deleted the clunking of the factory two piece driveshaft. I also love that there is no need for an adapter with this driveshaft.

I love it
I've had this driveshaft on my car for 1 year now. I love it, quicker acceleration because of less weight to get moving, 22lbs lighter than stock, 2 piece driveshaft. Shaved time off 1/8 and 1/4 mile times.

This is a fantastic upgrade for ANY S197 Mustang
This is a fantastic upgrade for ANY S197 Mustang. The stock two piece driveshaft is utter garbage compared to this. Installation note: GET AN IMPACT WRENCH. With a suitable swivel and extension. That will make your install a breeze. Also, when you get the bolts out, wedge a flathead screwdriver in between the stock driveshaft and give it a whack with a mallet to get the driveshaft loose. Once installed, your Mustang will be a LOT easier to drive. Mine takes almost no throttle to take off. Clunking and clanking from underneath is GREATLY reduced, and the clatter clatter that S197s are infamous for when the clutch is pushed in is eliminated. Finally, it is amazing how much quieter the new driveshaft makes the interior of the car compared to the stock one. Yet another quality part from Steeda, and an essential upgrade for every S197 Mustang.

Affordable and great quality
Affordable and great quality. I installed this as insurance for my 2014 Supercharged GT. I looked at other shafts out there and did not want to have to use an adapter and other brands were known to snap. I only have 250 miles on this shaft with about 10 hard launches (4.5k). Pro's: Affordable Includes hardware Direct replacement (no adapters) Lightweight Reduces clunking at low speeds and when shifting (manual) Uses 6 bolts to bolt into pinion (some drive shaft use 4 of the 6 bolts) Con's No instructions (simple install but recommend instructions as you should install the pinion flange bolts hand tight before bolting up to the transmission as two pinion flange bolts cannot be bolted in unless you keep the driveshaft disconnected from the transmission; also no known torque spec recommendation) No loctite (you need loctite the bolts per OEM manual) Look forward to see how this holds up in the long run.

I'm glad I went with the Steeda aluminum shaft
I have 3.73 gears and I was nervous about changing my stock driveshaft. I'm glad I went with the Steeda aluminum shaft. First of all it has eliminated the clunking in the drivetrain. I've had it up to a 100 mph+ with no vibration. It accelerates smoother and gas mileage improved on a recent trip. I think my next mod will be to upgrade my Nitto 285's and check my 0 to 60 time. I'm thinking it will be good.

The driveshaft is a great product at a great price
The driveshaft is a great product at a great price. Highlights.... *Install time was 2+ hours *Car is way more responsive to throttle input *No increase in noise and no increase in vibration at all RPMS *Deceleration is less when coasting in gear *The car generally feels faster as a result of installing the aluminum driveshaft. I am very happy with the price and quality of Steeda's aluminum driveshaft offering. It was a nice bolt on upgrade and you will immediately feel the impacts of the change from the stock two piece unit. I hope Steeda puts together a video on how to properly install the aluminum driveshaft. It would have been helpful and reassuring.

Excellent
Installed several other driveshafts on the S197 in the past, and this was by far the easiest! Looks great under the car and install was an absolute breeze.

Just plain awesome
So glad this mod is finally installed, came with all necessary bolts needed for installation. Compared to other driveshafts out there, this Steeda one popped right in with no need to change the pinion flange (in case you aren't familiar, this is a huge benefit)! Looks great under the car as well. Even with my gearing there was no increase in NVH and can already tell the car is a bit faster - less rotating mass is always a plus. Shipping was fast! Thanks Steeda.
