Description

If you have substantially lowered your vehicle chances are you have introduced bump steer. What is bump steer? Bump Steer is changes in toe caused by suspension movement.

Every car has bump steer, however when you lower the vehicle you increase the amount of bump steer that occurs, if this becomes excessive you will begin to notice some unwanted vehicle driving characteristics.

When you turn your steering wheel you are essentially changing the toe of the wheels to turn the vehicle. Excessive bump steer is undesireable because it introduces unwanted steering inputs which means the suspension is steering the car instead of the driver.

If your car is lowered and has tracking issues and less predictable steering behavior, you need a bump steer kit.

In addition, our bump steer kit makes a great service replacement for your worn out, high mileage outer tie rods even if you do not have excessive bump steer issues.

Pick up a bump steer kit today and refresh your outer tie rods and improve your steering.

Steeda's Bump Steer Kits will allow you to correct your bump steer geometry and can do so without requiring you to drill or modify your vehicle spindle.

Hi everybody, Brian from Steeda.com Here today to speak with you about our Fox Body & SN95 Bumpsteer Kits. So the simple explanation of Bumpsteer is this, Bumpsteer is the change of your alignment or your front toe as your suspension travels through it's range. When you lower the vehicle it changes the geometry between the outer tie rod ends and the control arms. We'll talk more about this in just a moment, but because that suspension geometry has changed it can cause excessive bumpsteer. This means if you hit a bump with the left tire the right tire the car kinda wants to darts this way or that way. Likewise under hard braking, you get this toe change and the car tends to want to wonder on you. You accelerate, gets a little bit light, same thing your kinda trying to constantly catch the car. Not very confidence inspiring. Not very quick. and we have the solution. We have two options for the 79 through 2004 Mustang. One set that fits power steering racks and one set that fits manual steering racks. So depending on what type of build your putting together from a street car to some sort of crazy race car, we have a set that will fit your needs. These are a direct replacement for your factory outer tie rods. We've incorporated alot of really top notch things in these. We've used a harden steel spindle stud. That is tapered. No drilling is required. No modification to your knuckle is required. These are a direct fit. Furthermore the level of adjustment, we provide the spacers to set the geometry up exactly where you need it to be dependent on the ride height that you've set the car at. Another key aspect to our Bumpsteer Kit is the use of the aluminum collar. We've designed this collar to thread directly on to the inner tie rods with no modifications. Furthermore we've designed it so that you can make adjustments just like the factory outer tie rods. This means easy alignment for the shop that your taking it to, or the race shop that's setting it up for that upcoming race weekend. We have also intergraded a spherical bearing. The use of this spherical bearing means immediate responsiveness in the steering. As well as a lifetime of durability. We've constructed our Bumpsteer Kits utilizing the highest grade materials including aluminum, and harden heat treated steel. These are also manufactured at our Georgia manufacturing plant, because SPEED MATTERS!! If you have any questions or comments about these Please feel free to post them below. Be sure to visit us at Steeda.com. To learn more about these and our other great suspension products. Don't forget to follow us on Social Media and have a Great Day!!

AWESOME product, GREAT quality
I have always been a fan of Steeda, but when my bumpsteer kit arrived it simply reaffirmed why I love them. The quality of these is like no other. The anodized coating is of quality, the materials used is top notch, all included hardware is of the best quality as well. Installation is a breeze and they are recommended for use on ANY Mustang that is lowered. Do NOT buy the cheap knock offs, these are the real deal and totally worth it. Steeda spends lots of time in the design and engineering stages and the quality of these proves it.
