Description

Steeda's Competition Sway Bar Kit for the 2005 newer Mustang is the most beneficial sway bar package on the market.

With both adjustable front and rear sway bars you have complete control of your vehicles handling characteristics, and with enough adjustment to change the handling balance of the vehicle completely to your preference.

From maintaining understeer, to neutral, to oversteer this sway bar package has the range to fine tune your vehicles handling precisely.

Our sway bars have machined steel billet sway bar ends, whereas others on the market have coined ends. What does this mean? Our sway bar ends are machined out of billet steel round stock, in-house, on our multi-axis CNC lathes and go through hundreds of computer simulations to ensure the ultimate in strength and performance - this provides greater resistance to bending stresses, and has three major advantages:
  1. These parts are less prone to cracking/fatigue failure on the ends themselves.
  2. It also reduces unwanted deflection in the sway bar end. Excess deflection creates unwanted geometry changes, which physically changes your sway bar stiffness to a non-ideal rate.
  3. With less unwanted deflection, our bars will 'wear out' slower - any spring will eventually become softer over time as it is cycled through its life, our bars will maintain their designed rate for longer with less unwanted deflection.

Our bar rates are developed and optimized through advanced vehicle dynamic simulation and through extensive real-world testing. We engineered these bars to control the vehicles' roll stiffness properly while still allowing you to run softer springs. This optimizes your overall grip and balance of the vehicle while still allowing you to maintain exceptional ride quality.

Note: Fits hardtop models only, does not fit convertible Mustangs.

Great Product
I bought this kit along with the billet aluminum front brackets and front adjustable end links for my 2012 GT. It is a night and day difference from stock. Easy to install with taking my time it took a couple of house. I chose to go in the middle setting for everything and so far so good. I trust Steeda parts all the way. I bought the car and it had some suspension work done already but little by little i am converting everything over to steeda. I highly recommend this setup to anyone looking for better handling and quality parts at a good cost.

High quality, super flat cornering!
I bought these looking to take my 2014 GT's suspension to the next level and they certainly do that. They were straightforward to install and took about 3 hours to install both while taking my time. The results were astonishing. This car corners super flat now and made the suspension feel nice and tight. The ability to adjust the rear bar is a nice feature too as not too many competitors offer rear bar adjustments. Mine is set to the stiffest front and middle rear setting which is great for the track but at times can be quite firm on bumpy roads. If your car is a daily driver the softer settings are preferable.

Wow! Highly recommend this upgrade.
My stock Mustang GT suspension was okay, but I noticed lots of body roll under heavy braking into hard turns -even fast exits onto the straights felt a bit sloppy. So when my Steeda Sales Rep learned that I wanted to do a bit more than just DE (high performance Driving Experience events) and I mentioned NASA, he moved me from their rear swaybar to fully adjustable front and rear swaybars. I would recommend fully adjustable Struts and Shocks first (they allow you to make handling control adjustments) and then move to fully adjustable front and rear swaybars. These were easy to install - did them on my driveway. These look good - especially the rear aluminum end-links. Most importantly however is that they WORK! I began at middle positions per Steeda's recommendation to "feel the car out." With the now much stiffer rear swaybar, the car had over-steer. I moved the rear to softest (still WAY stiffer than the factory bar). I had to reverse settings for my adjustable struts/shocks to stiffer in front and softer in back. There was a professional photographer at the track for our last DE track day and comparing my car to other Mustangs, Shelby's, BMW's, etc., mine was flatter going through the turns. Heavy braking, tight turns, hard accelerations - the difference is night and day. One of the other drivers said mine was as flat as any Supercar going round the course. I was impressed most however, when one of the Porsche race drivers drove me around the course in my car - Wow! Highly recommend this upgrade.

Supercar Flat
First - these were easy to install - did them on my driveway. Second they look good - especially the rear aluminum end-links. Most importantly however is that they WORK! I wanted adjustable front and rear. I began at middle positions for both Front and Rear per Steeda's recommendation to "feel the car out". Now I'm at the middle position for Front and at the softest position in the Rear. We had a professional photographer at the track and comparing my car to other Mustangs, Shelby's, BMW's, etc. - mine was flat going through the turns - not a lot of body roll. One of the other drivers said mine is as flat as any Supercar going round the course. The Tokico D-specs have been dialed in and taking her around the track is Fast, Flat and Fun!!! Highly recommend them. You can set them up for track, the strip or daily driving.
