It is high in chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, temperature resistance, and strength. The low-friction and high abrasion resistance makes the plastic an excellent choice for moving parts, like the shifter and transmission. No worries about binding or shrinking with changes in temperature, as the plastics properties of low thermal expansion prevent this.
