Wake up the hidden power of your EcoBoost Fusion by taking the intake system to the next level with our in-house designed tested and manufactured Steeda Cold Air System.

This cold air system does not require any ECM tuning making it an easy direct bolt-on. On the 1.6L EcoBoost engines expect point-to-point gains of up to 10 horsepower at the wheels and point-to-point gains on the 2.0L EcoBoost engines of up to 18 horsepower at the wheels! Performance gains you will definitely feel! In addition under steady-state driving conditions, an increase in gas mileage should be noticed.

Better intake temperatures. The Steeda cold air intake gives your Fusion better intake air temperatures, this results in better performance and improved fuel economy. The lower IATs are a result of the design of the airbox, high flow filter, and the precision-molded thermoplastic velocity stack. The airbox was designed to utilize the cold air feed coming from the grille while sealing directly to the hood liner to ensure a cool, dense air charge to the engine.

CA Residents: Cancer and Reproductive Harm WARNING

Hello Fusion friends, Brian from here today to show you our cold air intake for the CD4 Ford Fusion. CD4 Fusion was equipped with a handful of different engines. Now this intake is designed to fit the 1.5, 1.6 or 2.0 liter EcoBoost versions of those and those engines being four cylinders and turbocharged tend to be prone to heat soak as well as kind of suffocating from the small scrawny little factory airbox and this means when you're stuck in traffic or even on the highway as you're driving the car engine heat builds up under the hood and then it gradually soaks into the airbox, comes into the inlet tube which leads to the turbo. Gets recycled right back through your intercooler as hot air already and then into to the engine. So if the intake air temperatures are higher the engine time is going to get pulled back. This means less performance, less fun and even worse fuel economy. The way we've designed our airbox is to prevent many of those things, increase performance, increase the fun factor and you know what if you drive it right you'll still even get better fuel mileage than you did before. Here's how we're able to achieve these performance gains. We've designed the airbox to actually be bigger as far as volume is concerned. When you're installing it you will notice that it is considerably bigger than the factory airbox. Still fitting within the stock area so no major modifications are required but it is bigger. Now we've run the seal across the top of it to still seal it against your hood so that no engine heat can get in around it and into the filter thus the turbo, the engine, you get the idea but the most important aspect of this is the fresh air feed that's right down in front this will allow air to pass through your front bumper. Fresh cold air right into the intake and right toward the filter. This is going to be the fresh air that's then taken into the turbo which will be cooler air, keeping your intake air temperatures down. Meaning more power and again better mileage if you drive it right. A couple of additional key components to the intake that contribute to the increased performance are, the air filter and the velocity stack. Now the air filter is a lifetime washable unit and the velocity stack well it does exactly that, increases the velocity of air coming into the engine it does this by starting out larger and channeling down smaller in a smooth tapered fashion. This is important because this will increase throttle response at low rpm as well as efficiency and airflow to the turbo at higher rpm. What this ultimately means is better drivability and better performance. One of the reasons that this cold air kit is so popular it's because it's an easy installation and it makes good power. On the 1.6 liters we typically see about 10 horsepower to the tires and on the 2 liter generally about 18 horsepower. Now this is running the factory ECU with no tune. It doesn't require tune but if you add a tune it's gonna really fatten up the power band and your peak horsepower will be even higher. This leads us to the question of with our intake how much power did you make? If you have any questions or comments please post them below. plenty satisfied
this is a great quality part i'm plenty happy with my purchase. Brought more turbo noise out of my car along with adding some throaty noise under load into the cabin.

Looks great, sounds better but lacks power gains
Purchased this intake for my 2016 2.0 Fusion and went with Steeda because it's reputation. Got the intake in a few days which was awesome. Install went easy everything went the way it should have so I was happy about that. The intake sounds great. Increased turbo noises so it definitely looks and sounds a lot better. My only issue with it is absolutely no power gains. Even felt slower lol and yes that might not be fair but I was disappointed maybe I should have lowered my expectations and it's probably not fair to compare it to when I added intakes to my 335i but that's the only other turbo vehicle I've added an intake to. Regardless it's a great product.

Love it!
The Steeda cold air intake for my '13 Fusion 2.0 looks and sounds amazing with revved up! The slight increase in HP is definitely noticeable when taking off and accelerating in general. It helps get rid of the bit of lag there was. I'd definitely recommend!

I am not a car guy, so take this review with a grain of salt. I have a 2017 Fusion SE with a 2.0 EcoBoost. It definitely sounds better with this intake than it did stock, and I am more than satisfied with the slight performance increase it provided. It gave my sluggish transmission just enough extra power to reduce the delay from pedal-down to acceleration to what it should have been from the factory. The only issues I had with its installation were the often-mentioned sensor being difficult to fit into the gasket and the sensor's wire being too short for the mounting clip to reach the intended hole on the intake. Thankfully, it doesn't seem to need mounting, as it is short enough to not interact with anything else around it.

2020 fusion 1.5
Easy to install except for sensor. The rubber gromet That holds the sensor is a tight fit and the sensor was hard to push in. I would think for the price they could design a twist in feature like the factory

Easy install, well made, nice boost in power - have not yet seen MPG increase but do expect it. As far as noticeable sound - not really - which is good as this my wife's daily driver!

First Mod on my 2017 Ford Fusion 2.0
This intake system was an easy install and I realized instant benefits. It also improved the sound of my exhaust. It may not seem that 18 HP is much, but I definitely felt the difference right away. I added extra sealing around the top of the box to assure me that I had all the hot, under the hood air isolated from my intake air. I love this system.

Very happy with my Steeda CAI. I can tell and feel the difference, when driving my 2018 Fusion 1.5 Ecoboost. I also added the BoostMax with the CAI and WOW. When I get down on the throttle, it wakes up the ecoboost!!

The start!
This was the first item I ordered for my Fusion build. It opened it up and ran much quicker than before. Then I added a custom tune. Unbelievable how fast it is now. Putting on the new intercooler next. Amazing performance and great customer experience every time I call or have a question.

When ordered steeda said it would take a few weeks to ship, I guess they didn't have any in stock. When it came I pre-assembled it to just put it on When I had the time. One of the 4 holes where the velocity stack bolts on didn't line up and had to be egged out to get the screw in place and the rubber grommet that holds the ait sensor wouldn't stay where it's supposed to with the sensor installed even after taking the factory o ring off the sensor. Every hole had big burrs that had to be deburred myself. As a machinist I gotta say this is NOT very good quality, especially for being American made,, but it does what it's supposed to I guess. For the price it should be a simple install you shouldn't have to deburr it and egg out holes and you'd think they would give better grommets but it is what it is.

2014 AWD Fusion Titanium 2L Turbo
Had this intake for a few months now and its great. Came home from work around 10pm and started pre assembling it so I can just drop it in come morning time. Could not wait so I finished the install about 45 mins later and hit the gas. Sounds amazing. Took it for a spin and holly sh*t did it knock my head back. I Definately recommend it since it actually scoops up a large amount of air from outside of the engine compartment. Even bigger difference on cooler days...gained easily 15-20hp and I feel the difference on the low and high end.

Pleasant MPG increase
Installed on a 2014 Ford Fusion SE with the 1.6 L motor and a standard shift transmission. I'd really like to start off by saying that the air filter bucket is extremely well made, this is probably going to be the strongest piece of plastic on the whole car. It is very large with plenty of volume and the rubber weatherstrip sealing to the hood is very nice. Everything fit perfectly and the little adapter was perfectly shaped for smooth intake transition. This was an expensive kit when I first made the purchase, but upon opening the box it is well worth the money. everything fits smoothly and cleanly and nothing had to be made to adapt this kit to the car. I leave my fuel mileage alone since I purchased the car and it has bumped from 26 miles per gallon to 27 miles per gallon over the last 6 months with no change in the way I drive (as a steeda customer I'm sure it will be no surprise that I do drive aggressively). The mile per gallon increase was definitely a pleasant surprise. in the 8 months that I've owned the system there has been no additional maintenance needed after installation. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Pretty decent
While this is a great kit, the adapter that goes from the filter to the stock intake tube was too small. We didnt feel it was worth contacting steeda over it, since i can do creative thinking. So i simply got some two sided tape made for emblems or moldings, and gave it a single wrap, and then it was a perfect fit to the OEM intake tube. The car in question, BTW is a 2017 Fusion 2.0 ecoboost. Otherwise it does what its supposed to and is of good quality.

Wakes Up the BabyBoost
I have a 2018 Fusion SE with the 1.5L Ecoboost. My one complaint with the car prior to this install was how slow it was in first and second gear. This CAI breathed life into the engine. It feels much more torquey and responsive in lower gears. I just drove back home on the interstate and the car is so much more responsive and overtakes cars with ease. Next, I'm going to get the throttle body spacer and eventually get a RaceChip. This was worth the money. The car drives completely different, AND I noticed I'm getting 25 mpg in the city now, which is 2 better than I was getting. One more thing: the people on here claiming it only took them 45 mins are mechanically-minded gearheads. If you aren't sure how to do this install, get some help. My brother-in-law walked me through it otherwise I wouldn't have ever gotten it installed myself. For gearheads, it's a breeze; for the average person, it will take longer to install, but it is vastly worth the money!

As others have said removing the sensor is most of the battle...I was afraid I was going to break it or the stock box, so I ordered a new sensor($10.)But, that's more on Ford than Steeda...Pretty consistent 1.5-2mpg, adds to the baby boosts snarl, seems to give a fair amount of power on the low end, together with throttle body spacer from another company seems to eliminate off idle lag pretty well. I find it a bit harder to detect the difference into higher rpm range. For the price pretty effective 1st mods, nice to get mileage and power together!

My CAI came in with in a couple days. The only reason i gave it 4 stars is because it took a while for me to fit the CAI in right, i had to ziptie a couple wire so that it would fit all the way down but the sound sounds sooo good and the turbo flutters!

2019 Ford Fusion 2.0

2013 Ecoboost Titanium. Easy install. Great sound. Noticeable difference in pep off the line and noticeable again at 2500 rpm and higher.

Bought this to increase horsepower on my 2018 Fusion Titanium AWD 2.0L. I definitely feel an increase in performance plus I love the sound of the Intake. Install was straight forward, I'd say give yourself about 45 min to do it. This thing should keep my engine running more efficiently.

Easy installation, looks awesome and sounds phenomenal. You can feel a power difference and a much quicker throttle response time. I am more than pleased with this for my 2016 2.0L Ford Fusion Titanium.

Must have!
Major difference in the sound. Can certainly hear the air sucking in! It also enhances the sound of the factory turbo but I recommend this CAI along with the Turbosmart BOV. Personally the most challenging part I thought was the removal and installation of the sensor since that part is so delicate. Install took maybe 45 mins total, most of that time fiddling with the sensor! Either way - I suggest you go with the Sterda CAI if you're considering one, sounds and performs amazing!

Not quite perfect
The good: the sound, the performance increase and the absolute ease of installation. The bad: there seems to be one area that can't seal due to an indentation in the hood liner.I was blown away at how easy this installation was. I can't decide if the hardest part was the insertion of the AIT sensor or installing the seal. Either way this takes no time at all. I also want to point out how top notch customer service is. Is messed up my original seal and the company was kind enough to send me a new one at no charge even though I offered to pay for it. That's enough to keep my business!

The Steeda cold air intake is the first I've ever personally experienced. It does have the turbo sounds and flutters many are looking for, but more so on the exterior of the car. (not sure what happened after I had a mechanic do my transmission fluid.. intake hose was not installed but it sounded great when I had first installed it.. now it is quieter.)
