Steeda's lowering spring and Bilstein B6 damper kit come with your choice of Steeda springs to suit your vehicle goals and prevent
mis-matched parts that don't fit or work well together. The spring selection in the drop down are the only Steeda springs we recommend using with Bilstein monotube dampers. With this kit, you can expect reduced body roll, reduced front end brake dive and an overall improvement in handling performance without compromised ride comfort or increased NVH.
Our completely assembled kit saves you the hassle of having to rent a dangerous spring compressor or going to a local shop with your old struts to install old used components onto your new struts. This kit comes complete ready to install on your car. Your old strut assembly remains intact for possible future re-install or resale to another party. After install you will need to take your car to the nearest shop for alignment to avoid tire wear. All lowering springs require realignment after install due to suspension geometry changes.
With this kit your old struts, bump stops, dust covers, coil spring isolator pads and bearing plate are left intact ready to install at a later date or resell to another S550 owner. This kit includes all new OE components in addition to Steeda upgraded components. The rear bump stops are trimmed length specific micro-cellular poly foam for lowering springs and provide the softest cushion on hard impacts. The inverted tube front Bilstein dampers already contain an internal bumpstop. The included bearing plates and coil spring isolators are genuine Ford OE parts unless you upgrade to Steeda adjustable camber plates..
Steeda recommended upgrades such as adjustable camber plates and stronger billet rear shock mounts are located in the options menu for owners participating in HPDE or autocross events.
