This Moroso shim kit consolidates all the hard-to-find components into a single package, available in two configurations: one for drag racing applications and one for oval track use.
Drag Race Kit contents. The drag kit includes a housing gasket, a pinion shaft seal, one pinion housing O-ring, and one 3/4"-20 Ford pinion nut. Nine pinion support shims are included: one each of .005", .006", .0075", and .0082", two of .004", and three of .0105". Eight pinion pre-load shims sized for use with aftermarket aluminum pinion supports are also included: one each of .005", .006", .0075", .0082", and .009", plus three of .0105".
Oval Track Kit contents. The oval track kit is built around the shimming demands of sustained, high-load racing. Nine pinion retainer shims are included: one each of .005", .006", .0075", and .0082", two of .004", and three of .0105". Twelve pinion pre-load shims cover a wider range: one each of .005", .006", .0075", .0082", .009", .020", and .030", two of .050", and three of .010". A .375"-thick pinion spacer and one 3/4"-20 Ford pinion nut round out the oval kit.
