Sealing a water pump correctly matters on any engine, but especially on a high-output 429 or 460 big-block Ford where coolant leaks can spell disaster. Moroso's water pump gasket gives both electric and conventional water pumps a reliable, race-quality seal against the block face. Precision die-cut from cellulose composition material, the gasket conforms tightly to its mating surface and stays put under the thermal cycling these engines produce.
Race-proven material construction. Cellulose composition gasket material compresses evenly across the sealing surface, filling minor imperfections in the block or pump flange without cracking or extruding under clamp load. This keeps coolant where it belongs throughout repeated heat cycles.
Precision die-cut for exact fitment. Every bolt hole and port opening is cut to exact tolerances, so the gasket aligns immediately on installation with no trimming, stretching, or adjustment required. Proper hole alignment also ensures even torque distribution across all fasteners.
