Factory coolant expansion tanks on the 2005-2010 Mustang are plastic, which cracks, discolors, and eventually fails after repeated heat cycles. Moroso replaces the stock tank with a fabricated aluminum unit that bolts directly into the factory location, requires no modifications, and tolerates the thermal stress that destroys OEM tanks. It fits the V6 and GT from 2005 through 2010, as well as the GT500 from 2007 through 2010, covering the 4.6L, 3.7L, and 5.4L engines.
Direct bolt-in fit with zero fabrication. Moroso engineers the tank to match factory mounting points and hose routing exactly. Integral billet aluminum hose fittings are included, so there are no barbed plastic connectors to crack under pressure. The tank accepts the factory vented cap and bleeds pressure the same way the OEM system does, preserving your cooling system's intended behavior.
Aluminum construction survives where plastic fails. Repeated high-heat cycles that warp or crack factory tanks have no effect on the fabricated aluminum body. Once installed, the tank can be left in its natural finish, polished, chromed, or powder coated to match your engine bay build.
