Racing and high-performance engine builds that use a front motor plate often have no room for a conventional water pump mounted directly to the block. Moroso's Ford 429/460 Remote Water Pump Adapter Kit solves that clearance problem with a billet aluminum adapter plate that takes the place of the stock water pump, routing coolant flow to a remotely mounted pump through a pair of -12AN female ports.
Billet aluminum construction. The adapter plate machines to tight tolerances, sealing cleanly against the block face and providing a rigid, leak-free base for the coolant routing lines. A matching backing plate and gasket are included so the installation seals properly from both sides of the front cover.
Designed around front motor plate applications. The included stainless steel socket head cap screws are long enough to pass through a front motor plate, eliminating the need to source longer fasteners separately. Everything required to mount the adapter in a plated engine bay ships in the kit.
-12AN porting for high-volume coolant flow. Two -12AN female ports accommodate large-diameter braided lines to and from the remote pump, supporting the coolant volume demands of a high-output 429 or 460 build without flow restriction at the block connection.
