Pre-oiling a freshly assembled Ford big-block before the first crank is one of the most important steps in any engine build. Moroso's oil pump primer lets you spin the oil pump with a hand drill, pushing oil through every gallery, bearing surface, and lifter bore before the engine ever fires, giving critical rotating assembly components the film of protection they need from the very first revolution.
Simple, tool-driven operation. Remove the distributor, drop the primer into the distributor bore, and engage the 5/16" hex male end into the oil pump drive shaft. Chuck the opposite end into any standard 3/8" hand drill and spin the pump until the gauge climbs. No special equipment or adapters required beyond a drill you already own.
Black oxide finish for lasting durability. The corrosion-resistant black oxide coating protects the primer against moisture and shop chemicals, keeping it in service-ready condition from one engine build to the next.
