The factory E40D and 4R100 transmission pans were built to a price point, not a performance standard. Moroso's fully fabricated aluminum pan replaces that stamped steel unit with a deeper, stronger sump that holds more fluid, runs cooler, and seals flat every time. At 3.642 inches deep, it adds meaningful fluid capacity over stock without requiring crossmember modifications on most applications.
One-piece billet rail, CNC machined after welding. Welding distorts metal. Moroso accounts for that by CNC machining the rail flat after the pan is fully assembled, so the sealing surface is geometrically true rather than just close. The result is a leak-free fit against the transmission case without excessive torque or sealant buildup.
Dual fittings for real-world servicing. A magnetic -8AN drain plug captures ferrous particles before they circulate back through the transmission, and a 1/4-inch NPT port accommodates a temperature sender or cooler line fitting. Draining fluid no longer means dropping the pan entirely, and monitoring fluid temp becomes a straightforward add-on.
Complete hardware included. Serrated flange hex bolts and metric studs come in the box, so no separate hardware purchase is needed to button up the installation. Moroso recommends pairing this pan with a Motorcraft FT113 filter or equivalent.
