Moroso's rear T-sump oil pan for the 4.6L and 5.4L Mustang keeps oil at the pickup under the sustained lateral loads that send factory pans gasping for oil pressure. Built from steel and finished in black powder coat, this wet-sump pan fits 1979-and-later Mustang chassis, including 2005-and-later models.
Four trap doors and a removable anti-slosh baffle. The trap door system allows oil to flow freely toward the sump during hard braking and acceleration, then holds it there during cornering so the pickup stays submerged. The removable anti-slosh baffle controls surge without restricting drain-back, giving the engine consistent oil pressure across an entire lap.
Provisions for forced-induction returns and oil temperature monitoring. A 1/2" N.P.T. fitting handles supercharger or turbocharger oil drain-back, while a second 1/2" N.P.T. fitting accepts an oil temperature sender. Both fittings are integrated into the pan, keeping the plumbing clean and eliminating the need for added adapters or welding.
Broad compatibility with factory hardware. The pan accepts OEM 2V, 3V, and 4V oil pickups, retains the factory dipstick, and installs without modifying the block or front accessories. The 6-3/8" depth and rear T-sump layout accommodate the standard Mustang crossmember clearance common to the 1979-and-later platform.
