Moroso's steel rear-sump oil pan gives your 4.6L or 5.4L Mustang an 8-quart wet-sump system with a kicked-out rear T-sump design that keeps oil where the pickup can reach it, even under sustained high-g loads. At 6-3/8 inches deep, it adds meaningful capacity over the factory pan without requiring suspension or subframe modifications.
Anti-slosh baffling controls oil movement. Internal baffles resist oil surge during hard acceleration, braking, and cornering, so the pickup stays submerged and oil pressure stays consistent. This is especially critical on boosted builds where oil starvation can damage turbo or supercharger bearings in seconds.
Built-in provisions for forced induction. A dedicated 1/2" NPT fitting handles supercharger or turbocharger drain-back, and a second 1/2" NPT fitting accepts an oil temperature sender. Both provisions are already tapped and ready, eliminating the need for custom fittings or welding.
Broad factory pickup compatibility. The pan works with OEM 2V, 3V, and 4V oil pickups, so you can retain the factory pickup without sourcing a custom unit or modifying the oil pump.
Steel construction with a durable finish. Heavy-gauge steel resists deformation from road debris and underbody contact. Moroso's own black powder coat process protects against corrosion and heat, keeping the pan looking clean long after installation.
