Radiant heat from exhausts, converters, and DPFs can push temperatures well beyond what nearby components can tolerate. The Inferno Shield intercepts that heat before it reaches airboxes, oil pans, transmission tunnels, and surrounding hardware, blocking up to 90% of radiant heat with a continuous rating of 1,800°F in stainless steel configuration.
Material options for every application. The aluminum version uses 1100 aluminum with a silica-based Inferno Core insulation layer, handling continuous temperatures up to 900°F. The stainless version steps up to 321 stainless steel with the same Inferno Core, rated for continuous service at 1,800°F and intermittent exposure up to 2,200°F. Both versions come in 1/4-inch thickness and multiple sheet sizes to suit the job.
Semi-rigid construction that holds its shape. The flexible, semi-rigid design bends to conform around curved surfaces and stays put once shaped. Fold-over edges create clean, sealed perimeters and eliminate fraying after trimming.
Custom fitment without specialized tools. Unfold the edges, trim the inner insulation core to the target shape, cut the outer shield layer approximately 3/4 inch larger, then fold the edges back over. The result is a clean, sealed heat barrier sized exactly to the application. Secure it with HP Power Anchors, stainless steel locking ties, screws, or hose clamps.
Product Benefits
- Up to 90% Radiant Heat Reduction: Reflects radiant heat away from heat-sensitive components.
