Orient the aluminized face toward the heat source for maximum effectiveness. At 0.032 inches thick, the mat adds minimal bulk while delivering serious thermal protection.
Meets verified industry specifications. Heatshield Mat carries ASTM F1939 and MIL-C-24929A certifications for heat barrier fabrics, so its rated performance is independently confirmed rather than claimed. Both specs are recognized benchmarks for thermal barrier materials in demanding applications.
Peel-and-stick installation on most clean surfaces. Every size ships with a high-temperature adhesive backing that bonds directly to clean, smooth metal, plastic airboxes, and similar surfaces. For rough or unfinished fiberglass, use the non-adhesive version with a spray adhesive such as 3M Super 77 to ensure proper contact across irregular surfaces. Bulk rolls are also available for larger projects.
