Silicone outer layer handles abrasion and contamination. The high-grade silicone rubber coating resists hydraulic fluids, oils, and fuels while preventing fraying at cut edges. It wipes clean and holds up in the tight, cluttered spaces of an engine bay where other sleeve materials crack or deteriorate.
Reduces and dissipates heat in both directions. The sleeve shields heat-sensitive components from external heat sources and can also retain heat inside lines where temperature loss is a concern, making it useful across fuel, brake, coolant, and electrical routing applications.
Sized for a wide range of line diameters. Available in inside diameters from 3/8 inch through 1-1/2 inch, in 3-foot and 10-foot cut lengths as well as bulk rolls of 50 and 100 feet. Clean installation with standard tools. Slide the sleeve over the line, trim to length, and seal the cut ends with heat shrink wrap and a heat gun to lock the braid and prevent unraveling. No special tooling is required.
