Smoother braking. The ideal pad for the S197 owner that wants to have better control of their pony car on the street.  This pad makes spirited driving and corner-carving even more enjoyable. 

Improved rotor wear. Designed for the street, Hawk made sure that the pads have a great life and are not very abrasive on your rotors. The pads are designed to work with your stock or aftermarket metal/iron rotors. They are not compatible with carbon-ceramic rotors. 

Increased stopping power. High-Performance Street (HPS) compound is designed to offer great performance. The pads may provide 20-40% greater stopping power compared to standard replacement brake pads.

Stop sooner! And more confidently!
I have used Hawk brake pads on both of my Mustangs (88 LX and 07 GT) and I enjoy them very much. OEM pads cannot compare to the HPS pads. With the HPS pads the bite is great. I have used these pads to autoX in a few times with my 07 and the pads did nothing but perform. The only downside is the pads dust a bit more than OEM, but nothing like the Hawk HP Plus. For a street driven stang that would like more braking power add Hawk HPS pads to your mod list!
