This stud is required for the proper installation of the 2.3L EcoBoost engine cover on the Ford Ranger. This bolt attaches to the factory brass insert near the front of the valve cover or in the brass insert in about the middle of the valve cover. The bolt supports and secures the engine cover, keeping it at the proper height. Ford's stud is recommended and should be used to get proper fitment. Hardware from other sources may damage the brass insert or engine cover and may not provide proper fitment.
