This advanced and high-performance engine is an upgrade for any 2024+ Mustang GT and is a replacement for your 2024+ Dark Horse. The 32-valve DOHC 5.0L engine boasts direct and port injection, twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT), high flow cylinder heads, dual throttle bodies, and high compression! These advancements combined allow this 5.0L to deliver 500 horsepower in the Dark Horse.
The cylinders feature a lightweight plasma transferred wire arc spray for extreme durability, while the aluminum block keeps weight down. Cross-bolted main bearing caps and thick main bearing bulkheads increase bottom-end strength. To improve high-rpm performance, Ford Racing optimized the oil drainback and windage control.
