This bolt/stud is required for the proper installation of the 2.0L EcoBoost engine cover on both the Bronco Sport and the Escape or the 2.3L EcoBoost engine cover on the Ranger. This bolt attaches to the factory brass insert towards the rear of the valve cover with one end and attaches to the engine cover on the other end. The bolt supports and secures the engine cover, keeping it at the proper height. Ford's bolt is recommended and should be used to get proper fitment. Hardware from other sources may damage the brass insert or engine cover and may not provide proper fitment.
