THE loudest!
I've had 3 S-197's now. The first one had the stock exhaust and I purchased FFRP (Ford Racing) exhaust which actually had a nice deep sound and quality tone but...It left me wanting more. Everytime other modded Mustangs drove near me I was jealous of how much louder their exhausts were. So, after research I ordered the Flowmaster Outlaws.
The sound was so loud that it shook the ground and I immediately fell in love.
The minute I bought my second 2005, I immediately ordered Outlaws. After a few years, I was still turning heads everywhere I drove but the interior drone was starting to get to me. Folks, you don't know what loud is until you try these. It's insane! If you live near... well.. anyone... you WILL get complaints. If you really don't like your neighbor, get these. lol
This summer I once again bought an 05 and I had a little extra money so I wanted something comparable to the outlaws but with a higher quality rating so I ordered Borla Attacks. Yes they were loud but they actually popped more than the outlaws and I personally don't like that because it sounds like a modded car rather than a loud Mustang muscle sound. They had less interior drone than the Outlaws and they were very loud but I am telling you, not as loud as the Outlaws really and more than twice the price. I'm not in any way knocking the Borlas, they really are great quality but again, for the price they didn't feel like the Flowmaster Outlaws. After two weeks, if you can believe it, I took off the Borlas and put back the Outlaws and again fell back in love, like reuniting with your first. The Flowmaster Outlaws are the absolute loudest axle back exhaust you can get and at an unbelievable price. They don't sound cheap like many others, they don't popcorn pop every 10 seconds and I guarantee you that you will thank me the second you have that first cold start. True muscle car sound that makes you look for tunnels and downtown skyscraper streets. Deep growl, not high pitched, INSANELY loud even at idle. Expect the loudest thing you have ever heard, expect a LOT of cabin noise (you get used to it), expect to turn off your radio just to hear the growl as you smash the throttle, expect a lot of attention, expect never to be out-done if others try to compete with the thundering sound, they won't win.
