This stage 2 clutch kit comes with the pressure plate, clutch disc, concentric slave cylinder, and a lightweight flywheel. The stage 2 clutch kit from Exedy is a good balance between street driveability and track performance. The cerametallic compound is able to withstand more abuse and heat than organic compounds and make a great upgrade if your Mustang is driven on the track.
Track ready performance with smooth engagement. The clutch features marcel cushion springs that help to smooth engagement and allow for better clutch control. Sprung center dampers alleviate shock and stress that is transmitted through the drivetrain. The Exedy clutch cover has a 40% greater clamping force and provides a greater torque capacity. This makes for a slightly heavier clutch pedal.
The lightweight flywheel reduces weight for improved throttle response. The kit comes with a chromoly steel for a very strong yet lightweight flywheel that further improves performance. The ring gear teeth are integrated into the flywheel, unlike the pressed ring gear that aluminum flywheels have.
