Gen 3 silver grey Geomet-style coating. EBC's current production runs a corrosion-resistant silver grey surface finish applied directly at the casting facility, immediately after machining and washing. Coating the rotor at that stage prevents the surface oxidation that sets in on bare iron within minutes of a wash cycle. The silver finish also closely matches factory rotor color, so the front and rear of the truck look consistent if only one axle is being replaced.
100-percent runout inspection on every disc. Every rotor passes through EBC's runout inspection machine before it ships. Excessive runout causes disc thickness variation, which shows up as brake pedal pulsation after a few thousand miles. Catching it at the factory eliminates that risk entirely.
