High friction coefficient, measurable grip. The NDX formulation delivers a friction coefficient of 0.52 Mu, placing it firmly in race-grade territory. That level of bite suits fast, heavier cars in performance and race driving, and EBC rates the compound's service life well above the previous Yellowstuff grade, so drivers are not swapping pads after every event.
NUCAP NRS mechanical bonding eliminates pad separation. Rather than relying solely on adhesive to secure the friction material to the steel backing plate, EBC bonds the NDX material using the patented NUCAP NRS hook system. This mechanical interlocking raises shear and bond strength by a factor of five, removing pad-to-plate separation as a failure mode under sustained high-temperature braking loads.
High-volume Vee grooves manage track debris. The pad face features deep Vee grooves machined across the friction surface.
