The factory torque converter in a 4R100 transmission was built for daily driving, not for handling upgraded power or heavy towing loads. The Circle D HP Series 4R100 Torque Converter strengthens on the factory design with a billet front cover and multi disc clutch pack, giving your Super Duty, Excursion, or Lightning a converter that holds up to real world abuse while keeping the same easy drivability you're used to.

Built stronger where the factory converter falls short. Every HP Series 4R100 converter starts with a billet front cover paired with a new 3 disc Luk clutch pack, giving it far more clamping force and durability than the factory single disc setup. The pump and turbine are furnace brazed rather than stamped and glued, and Torrington bearings are used on all three thrust surfaces to reduce friction and wear over the life of the converter. A 4140 heat treated input spline and flanged style impeller hub round out the build, giving you a converter that's engineered to handle years of hard use, whether that's towing heavy trailers or running a diesel with more power under the hood.

Two sizes to match how you drive. The 11" converter is the more aggressive option, flashing up to around 2800 rpm, and it's a favorite for supercharged Lightnings and trucks that want noticeably more launch and throttle response while still driving comfortably around town. The 12" converter keeps things closer to stock, flashing up to around 2400 rpm, making it the better choice if you want the added strength and durability of the HP Series without a dramatic change in how the truck feels to drive every day.

Built for the way Ford 4R100 trucks actually get used. The 4R100 shows up behind the 7.3L Power Stroke diesel, 6.8L Triton V10, and 5.4L V8 in Ford's Super Duty trucks, Excursion, and the supercharged Lightning, vehicles that regularly see heavy towing, hauling, or added power. A stock converter is often the first weak point when any of those demands increase, and the HP Series gives you a converter built to keep up without giving up daily drivability.
