Ultra-Case nitriding for surface hardness. After machining, each crankshaft undergoes Ultra-Case nitriding performed and certified at the Callies facility. Tru-Form radii on every journal. All main and rod journals are ground with strength-enhancing Tru-Form radii, which distribute stress more evenly at the fillet transitions.
