This set ships with Ultra BLT145 bolts for high-output applications, and every prep task that typically eats shop time has already been completed at the factory.

Dimensional repeatability that holds up over time. Many aftermarket rods meet industry tolerances fresh out of the box but go out of round after the first teardown. Callies addresses this with a lengthy stress relief cycle combined with multiple re-torque processing, burnishing threads and bolt spot faces so the big-end bore stays true no matter how many times the engine comes apart.

Factory prep work eliminates bench time. Pin bushings arrive chamfered and honed to proper high-performance oil clearance using deformation-resistant Ampco 18 bronze material. Parting line edges are generously chamfered to prevent bearing shell damage during installation, and bearing locating tab slots are deburred so the bearing tab seats fully without interference.

Stroker clearance built in. Bolt placement is positioned to add rotational clearance at the bottom of the bores and at the pan rails, a detail typically sold as a costly upgrade elsewhere. Contouring above the bolts increases cam clearance on the cam side of the bore.

Strengthened cap geometry where cross-section is thinnest. Gussets added to the bolt spot-face area of the cap increase strength and improve dimensional stability precisely where the cap is most vulnerable to flex under load.

Weight optimized through 3D solid modeling. Callies used solid modeling software to remove mass from every area that did not contribute to strength, resulting in a rod that weighs 635 grams while retaining the structural integrity of the forged 4340 base material.
