Callies Ford 3.5L EcoBoost Compstar Sport Series H-Beam Connecting Rod 6pc Set

Callies Compstar Sport Series connecting rods bring professional-grade engineering to the 3.5L EcoBoost platform, giving engine builders a set of H-beam rods machined from fine-grain 4340 steel that holds dimensional tolerances through repeated assembly and disassembly cycles. Offered in a six-piece set sized at 152mm length with a 60mm rod journal and 23mm wrist pin bore, these rods arrive with the most time-consuming prep work already completed. Deformation-resistant Ampco 18 wrist pin bushings are chamfered and honed to proper high-performance oil clearance straight from the factory, so builders spend less time on the bench and more time on the dyno.

Big-end bore repeatability that holds up over multiple rebuilds. Compstar rods go through a lengthy stress-relief process and multiple re-torque cycles during production, burnishing threads and bolt spot-faces so the big-end bore stays round after disassembly and reassembly. Parting-line edges are generously chamfered for smooth bearing shell insertion, and bearing locating tab slots are deburred so tabs seat fully every time, eliminating a common source of installation errors.

ARP rod bolts come standard. Every Sport Series rod ships with either ARP 2000 or Custom Age 625 bolts, depending on the option selected at purchase. ARP 2000 covers high-performance street and track builds; Custom Age 625 steps up to high-output applications that demand maximum clamping force at the rod-to-cap joint. Bolt placement is engineered to provide additional rotational clearance in stroker configurations at the bottom of the bores and at the pan rails, so builders do not need to source a separate clearancing solution.

Built with stroker clearance in mind. Strengthening gussets reinforce the bolt spot-face area on the cap where cross-sectional thickness is thinnest, adding both strength and dimensional stability. Contouring above the bolts increases cam clearance on the cam side of the bore.

Weight reduction without sacrificing structural integrity. Callies used 3D solid modeling throughout development to remove mass from non-critical areas while monitoring predicted strength, producing a high strength-to-weight ratio suited to high-revving EcoBoost builds.
