Stock bolts and gaskets are OK for stock cars, but with high performance engines you want something better. Why take a chance on your new cylinder heads with cheap, mass produced bolts? Go with the best. Go with ARP.
Note: Stock 302 blocks and 302 heads use 7/16" bolts, 351's use 1/2" bolts. Most high performance heads such as the GT-40 and Edelbrock are drilled for 1/2" bolts. To use these heads on a 302, an adapter washer is recommended.
