Unlock the performance potential of your 2007-2009 5.4L Mustang GT500 with this custom tune and device bundle from 5 Star Tuning. Designed for enthusiasts seeking increased horsepower and torque, improved throttle response, and a more engaging driving experience, this bundle also provides custom recalibration for compatible aftermarket modifications. Installation is straightforward and 5 Star's experienced staff are available to assist with any questions or concerns about the tuning process.
What is a tune and why do I need one? Your vehicle's ECU is calibrated from the factory to balance performance, drivability, reliability, and fuel economy. A custom tune from 5 Star Tuning adjusts engine and transmission parameters to target increased horsepower and torque, improved throttle response, and optimized shift behavior. Depending on your vehicle's configuration and selected calibration, adjustments may include fuel tables, electronic throttle control, spark timing, torque converter operation, shift strategies, and shift pressures. If you've upgraded compatible induction, fuel, or exhaust components, a custom tune can help optimize your vehicle's calibration for those modifications.
Tuning Process Made Simple:
- Step 1: Order and receive your tuner. Once your order is confirmed, you will be sent your selected blank tuning device.
- Step 2: ECU Strategy & Calibration Form. Connect your tuner to your vehicle to pull the ECU strategy code and ECU SWPN (if needed). Then, complete a simple calibration form with your vehicle details, and 5 Star will create a custom calibration tailored to your vehicle and goals.
- Step 3: Download & Install Your Custom Tune. Once your custom tune is created, you will be emailed the tune file. Simply download it to your PC, use the device updater software to load the tune into your tuner, and then install it into your vehicle.
