Today we issued the following press release updating the community on our intellectual property maintenance and enforcement efforts.
For over 30 years, Steeda has strived to deliver the highest quality automotive parts and products to its customers. With that goal in mind, Steeda invests significant resources into its product development, and the company now owns over twenty-five patents recognized by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Steeda is proud of its intellectual property and is legally obligated to enforce its rights in order to maintain them.
In recent years, Steeda has seen an increased proliferation of imitation, knock-off, and counterfeit parts entering the market. In response, in order to better serve and protect its customers and dealers, Steeda has implemented new intellectual property enforcement efforts for 2018. Steeda has already identified several confusingly similar imitation products and successfully removed them from the marketplace, working amicably and cooperatively with those dealers and merchants that may be unknowingly or unwittingly trading in such goods. Steeda intends to continue these efforts in good faith.
Steeda's goal is, and always will be, quality control and customer satisfaction. Steeda looks forward to another 30 years of providing its customers with innovative auto parts and accessories, and Steeda's efforts to protect its intellectual property will help carry the company into that future.
