The team at Steeda was curious how our Vortech supercharged S550 pushing 671 rwhp would do at South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP) down the 1320 - while on street tires and still outfitted with our road racing suspension setup (sway bars on full stiffness). After being flogged by Evan Smith, former editor of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, we took our S550 to the strip to see what she could do.
Even in 80% humidity this past weekend at SGMP, our Triple Yellow 2015 Mustang GT didn't disappoint. We ran an 11.25 @ 126.78 mph on 20" Nitto street tires, and there's definitely a lot more we can get out of the car with a bit of fine-tuning; this is a daily drivable 671 rwhp monster that's capable of high 10's all while on the stock fuel pump and full luxuries of the interior.
