Tom Ellis sets new lap record at Daytona

Tom Ellis, driving his Steeda Autosports prepared and equipped American Sedan Mustang set a new class record at the famed Daytona International Speedway. In his quest for a second straight SCCA American Sedan Southeast Division Championship and invitation to the National Championships, Ellis has managed to set lap records at Road Atlanta and now Daytona, where he qualified for the pole and knocked two seconds off the existing class record.

The Palm Express sponsored Mustang never missed a beat all weekend as Ellis notched another win with a 19 second lead over the second place finisher. Tom is quick to credit his talented Crew Chief, Jose Carbonell and the very talented Steeda Tech team of Sam Cory and Chad Coy, who prepare the Mustang for each race. "I really enjoy driving the Mustang, it is both fast and reliable thanks to my teammates" stated Ellis." In production car racing, the rules are very strict and being able to run the Steeda suspension components gives me a big advantage over the other racers with other competitive systems." Tom continued. Next race is Road Atlanta, June 3-4.with a 20 point lead, the championship looms on the horizon.
