Steeda Invited to Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auction

Ford Motor Company is a major sponsor of Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auctions for 2006. As such Ford invited Steeda Autosports to participate in the recent auction held in Palm Beach, Florida. The Steeda display included the new 500 horsepower 2006 Q 525, the 2005 Steeda Focus ZX3, "Crimson Ride" and a 1999 Steeda Q 400 convertible. In addition the 2006 Torch Red Q with the brand new Steeda competition front facia was showcased in the well turned out and informative Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company exhibit. All the Steeda cars at each exhibit drew a large audience all three days of the event.

The auction was well attended with lots of attractions in addition to the collector car auction itself. Lincoln Mercury hosted a ride and drive where the company showcased 2006 Mercury vehicles including the exciting, new Milan. Inside the main hall, Ford stole the show with a drag race setup where two people could race each other in 2006 Mustang GTs on two chassis dynos. The simulated drag strip, complete with starting tree that worked just like one on a drag strip enabled each driver to duplicate an actual drag race. The Mustangs sounded awesome as the participants wound them up. This ingenious display, created by Ford Motor Company's talented Global Experiential Marketing Group was introduced in the company's exhibit at the 2005 SEMA Show. It was the talk of the show. At Barrett Jackson, the two car simulated drag race program enabled Ford to totally dominate the inside exhibit area and as a result, the well designed and interesting Ford exhibit which included the soon to be introduced Shelby GT 500 coupe and convertible, was packed all three days.
