Fun Ford Weekend Champions Rely on Steeda Performance Parts

The Fun Ford Weekend Series crowned the series 2005 class champions recently at the Ford Mustang World Finals at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis Texas. Four of the class champions were equipped with Steeda Hardcore performance parts.

Ronnie Wilson

Ronnie Wilson won the Street Renegade Class and capped off a very successful year by winning the final event of the year. One of four wins this year.

Equipped with complete Steeda Hardcore suspension, Wilson was the first nitrous equipped Mustang running on production car suspension to run in the seven second bracket. His 7.99 elapsed time at the Norwalk, Ohio event, demonstrated just how well Wilson has the Mustang dialed in. Ronnie is quick to credit car owner and crew chief Rick Barnes, along with John Rollins for the excellent preparation and maintenance of the 2005 Street Renegade Champion. The Ft. Lauderdale, FL based Mustang is equipped with the complete Steeda Hardcore suspension from the rear competition anti-roll bar to the aluminum 4-bolt caster camber plates.

Adam Louramore

The 2005 Drag Radial Class Champion is Adam Louramore. Running out of his Racecraft Products facility in Margate, Fl, Louramore won two races and was the model of consistency all year long.

After winning his first Fun Ford Weekend Championship, Adam stated, " We really had a first class team with car owner Demo Koutsis doing everything from driving the rig to the events to making sure everything was ready to go. Ace wrench, John Rollins was also a huge help before and during the long season." The 1988 Mustang relied on Steeda Hardcore suspension to insure each run was straight and true and that maximum traction was the order of the day.

Darrel Peterson

The 2005 Street Warrior Class Championship was not decided until the first round of the final race at the Texas Motorplex when 2004 class champion, Darrell Peterson, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, beat long time rival, Jeremy Martorella.

The season long battle was the closest of all the Fun Ford Weekend classes, with the two Florida based racers always within a few points of each other. After defeating the talented Martorella in his potent Mustang, powered by a Bill Glidden built motor, Peterson added to his second straight Street Warrior Championship by winning the event. After 12 hard fought races, only 17 points separated the Champion and runner-up.

Down the stretch Adkins pulled away to a slight lead and held it to the end, resulting in his first JBA Focus Frenzy Class Championship. Both champion and runner -up were equipped with Steeda Autosports Focus billet fuel rails, cold air intakes and EuroStar wheels.
