Steeda Teams Dominate American Sedan

The SCCA Double Nationals were held over the July 4th Holiday Weekend at the Roebling Road road course near Savannah, Georgia. Tom Ellis and his Steeda equipped American Sedan Mustang scored double victories, only after tough battles with defending 2004 Southeast Divisional Champion, Bob Eubanks, also piloting a Steeda equipped Mustang, who finished a close second both days. Eliis captured the pole position for each race, but had to run door handle to door handle with Eubanks who led the second race for a few a laps, before Tom was able to get by him for the win. The weekend action was a renewal of their duel in April at Roebling Road where Eubanks won the battle of the Florida based Mustangs. This marked the third straight pole and win for Tom Ellis, as the Pompano Beach based driver is rounding into outstanding racing form in midseason. Equipped with the latest Steeda suspension components, including the famed 5-Link rear suspension, the patented four bolt caster/camber plates, sway bar and bumpsteer kit, his Mustang corners like it is on rails.Tom is always assured of smooth shifts with his Tri-Ax shifter equipped with the new Comfort Pro handle. The veteran Bob Eubanks silver Mustang is also Steeda equipped and with his two second place finishes, Steeda equipped Mustangs dominated the American Sedan winners podium. The battle for the Southeast Division Championship continues at the beautiful Virginia International Raceway Facility in Danville, Virginia. on August 5-7.
