Press Day And The NEW S/C Q400!

Thursday August 22nd at Moroso Motorsports Park Steeda Autosports invited the press to come out and try its limited production supercharged Mustangs the Q400 and a made to order race ready version the Q400 R. The Q400 will start turning up in Ford dealerships over the next few months. The press had a great day at the track racing the two cars and Steeda's number 22 race Focus. There were several professional drivers at the course who gave some hair rising rides in the three super cars. Based on the traditions of the past Q's these cars are daily drivers that don't stop at the tracks parking lot they are equally at home on the course ripping it up.

The Q400 was destroying the track with its 400RWHP and 14" front brakes. As each of the drivers came off the track they just kept saying how comfortable and powerful it was. The Q400 R was a real show stealer. The press was doing a fair job of putting them both through their paces but Dario Orlando and Glen Vitale, Steeda's house drivers, started giving rides and the entire character of the cars changed. The mild mannered Q400 started screaming into corners and the Q400R, well, it was really amazing to see a real race car hit an open track. The Panoz driving schools instructor "Charles Espenlaub" was on the track for a separate event an gave white knuckled hair raising rides in the Q400 R for at least and hour. The Panoz driving schools are located in Sebring, Road Atlanta, Texas Motor Speed way and Mosport Park up in Canada. The Q400 R will also be seen in the GS 1 class of the Grand-Am Cup 2003 series raced by Shreiner Racing. The way these cars can perform when put to the test is really just amazing

This was a complete success and every one really enjoyed driving the cars. For more information about the Q series cars contact Mike Morella at Steeda AutoSports 1 954 960 0774
