MagnaFlow Focus Hatchback Cat-Back Exhaust (2012-2016)

From the solid, even note coming from the exhaust, to the improved gas mileage and better performance, the solid construction of this exhaust is absolutley worth it. It's not too loud as to disturb any neighbors, but its defitinetly noticable. Its tone is not nasal so that it reminds you of a lawn mower or souped up moped, its throaty and even. The increase in performance is notable and worth the cost, especially when you factor in the increased engine efficency and gas mileage. Its solid construction with everything you need, so its not complicated. One consideration on installation is you have to cut your prior exhaust off, so you need to be prepared to do so properly prior to installation as once your cut, you are commited. If you are working on your back in the driveway, it will be more complicated as need to some clearance to cut and then remove the old exhaust. My suggestion would be to use a torch for nice clean cut, a whiz-o-wheel will be diffucult to fit on the upper parts and clearence will be an issue with a sawzall. Additionally you will need clearence to snake the new exhaust in. It can be done on your back but it will be more diffucult, if you have access to a lift and a torch, its one and done.

installed the 263-15072 magna-Flow cat back myself with the help of a friend. took about 2 hours with a full swing-out-arm post lift. looks great and fit nicely together. nice HD clamps btw... sounds nice and after it heated up after and hour or 2 of driving, the low growl sound REALLY came in. Be patient if you don't notice a big difference right away. With the Steeda CAI it makes a nice sound & extra power package.

installed the Magna-Flow 15072 today. it was about a 2 hour job. fit and finish are excellent. instructions are pretty good. use a side post lift or it will be a real challenge! The only difficult part is installing the mid-pipe assembly (center piece) over the rear axle. This took about 45 mins extra to get it right. some of the OE heat shield got a bit banged up but it is OK overall. Note: my install was complicated by the fact that I have a Curt class 1 hitch installed so it made the only access through the opening over the axle from the front. This took some real maneuvering and even some pounding with a rubber mallet. it finally went through and it was a breeze after that. the sound is a deep throaty growl, not a annoying tinny sound like I've heard with some other systems . I have a Steeda CAI also and the combo sounds great together. The dual outlet pipe chrome tips look great also. I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 9 only because of tough install of mid-pipe.
