Radiant heat from exhaust, engines, and road surfaces silently degrades air intake performance, damages electrical components, and turns floor pans into foot warmers. The Thermaflect Shield blocks up to 90 percent of that radiant energy with a flexible, quarter-inch BioCool thermal barrier rated for continuous exposure at 1,100°F and intermittent peaks up to 2,000°F.
BioCool insulation at the core. The quarter-inch BioCool layer is non-flammable and non-toxic, and it will not cause skin irritation during handling or installation. Stainless steel mesh reinforcement backs the barrier, giving it the structural integrity to handle 500°F direct-contact heat while remaining flexible enough to conform to curved surfaces like air boxes and floor pans.
Tested to military and ASTM standards. Performance claims on this shield are backed by ASTM F1939 and MIL-C-24929A testing protocols, not just marketing language. That independent verification matters when you are protecting fuel lines, electrical boxes, A/C components, and converter tunnels from sustained heat soak.
Attaches in minutes with no special tools. Secure the Thermaflect Shield with Thermal-Ties, safety wire, screws, or rivets. Spray adhesive compatible with 3M Super 77 or Super Trim also works since the shield reduces ambient heat to levels well within those adhesives' temperature limits. Note: the shield requires at least a one-inch air gap from the direct heat source; it is a radiant barrier, not a direct-contact wrap.
Available in three cut-to-fit sizes. Choose from 5 in x 7 in, 6 in x 14 in, or 14 in x 20 in panels, each at a quarter-inch thickness, to match the coverage area needed for your specific application.
